Cemetery Committee
There are two cemeteries within the city limits of Dahlonega. Mt. Hope and Dahlonega Memorial Park. There are currently no burial lots available in Mount Hope. There are burial plots available in Memorial Park. The city currently has one columbarium/ossuraium located in Dahlonega Memorial Park with available niches.
Cemetery Committee
The Cemetery Committee acts in an advisory capacity to the Dahlonega City Council on matters related to the preservation, maintenance, operation, as well as advise on the current and projected use of Mt. Hope Cemetery, Memorial Park Cemetery and any other future cemeteries or burial properties owned and maintained by the City of Dahlonega which may reside within its governmental jurisdiction. The cemetery committee suggests rules, improvements, regulations, and performs other such duties as the city council may from time-to-time request. The committee meetings are held the Third Thursday of each month at 6 pm.

Cemetery Fee Information
- Cemetery lot fees- lots are only available in Memorial Park Cemetery located on Turner Road
- *For persons who live or own property within the city limits of Dahlonega– one grave site is $2,000.
- *For all outside Dahlonega city limits– one grave site is $2,500.
- Within Mt. Hope Cemetery or Memorial Park Cemetery one gravesite may contain 1 casket and 1 urn or 2 urns. A second internment fee of $750 plus open and close fee is required.
- Opening/Closing fee 7 days a week:
- Casket Burial $750. Vault is required.
- Cremation Urn $250. Vault is required.
- Fee payable prior to service. Make check payable to City of Dahlonega.
- * Each Gravesite may contain 1 casket and 1 urn or 2 urns. All urns must be enclosed in a vault before burial.
- * Residency requirements for this ordinance shall mean any person who lives or owns property within the city limits of Dahlonega and purchases a grave lot.
- *Residency shall be determined by driver’s license, utility bill, tax records, or other reasonable documentation of the purchaser or deceased.
- *The provisions of this ordinance shall repeal and supersede any conflicting provisions existing in any other ordinance of the city of Dahlonega.

Memorial Columbarium/Ossuarium Pricing
There are 80 niches that are sold individually and are capable of housing 1 or 2 sets of remains. Pricing is based on the height of the niche sold, with prices increasing from bottom to the top. There are four levels of niches, A-D, starting at the bottom and indicated in the sales tracker below. Pricing for columbarium niches is as follows:

- ROW C $1700
- ROW B $1600
- ROW A $1500
- Ossuarium rates will be set at $450 for all inurnments.
- Limited inscription services will be included.
- Niche pricing includes up to 2 openings of the niche.
- Weekend/Holiday/Evening openings are an additional $100.
