The boat ramp at Lake Zwerner will be closed beginning Thursday, March 12, 2026, while crews work on the pedestrian bridge project in the area. For everyone’s safety, the ramp and immediate work zone will remain closed during construction activities. We appreciate your patience and understanding as this project moves forward to improve access and connectivity.

Dahlonega’s Cemeteries

Did you know that Dahlonega owns two cemeteries?  Mount Hope and Dahlonega Memorial Park.  The city, as owner of the cemeteries, has the responsibility for their upkeep and maintenance, including mowing grass, trimming hedges, and repairing headstones as outlined in the City’s Code of Ordinances. The city is not responsible for any additions placed on or around headstones, like vases, as those are not part of the original installation and not guaranteed to withstand the elements. If you notice any needed maintenance in either cemetery, please contact City Hall to request a work order.
