Notice of Public Hearing – City of Dahlonega Board of Zoning Appeals on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 6:00 p.m.

Please take notice that the City of Dahlonega BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, NOVEMBER 1, 2021, at 6:00 p.M REGARDING CERTAIN MATTERS ITEMIZED IN THIS NOTICE. THE citationS referenced below PERTAIN TO ORDINANCE 91-9 AS IT APPEARS IN AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DAHLONEGA:

  1. Public Hearing for Neva Garrett on behalf of Greenbriar of Dahlonega (Roberta Green) – A request for a setback variance to a +/- 7.36 acre property located at 406 Main Street East (D11 192). This parcel is zoned B-2 (Highway Business District). The request is to reduce the setback along Main Street from 35 feet to 30 feet to allow for the addition of a 5,000 square foot theater with no additional parking to be required.
  2. Public Hearing for Rhett Stringer on behalf of the property owner Paul Stringer – A request for a variance of the front setback requirement for the parcel identified as Tax Parcel 081 037 located at 2718 South Chestatee Street, Dahlonega, Georgia 30533. The property is zoned in the B-2 zoning category and a sixty-foot front setback is required pursuant to Section 2001 of Ordinance 91-9 as it appears at Appendix B to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Dahlonega. This request is to reduce the front setback requirement from sixty feet to zero feet.  This variance is requested under the provisions of Section 2406 of said Ordinance.
