Invitation to Bid Sidewalk Extension on Wimpy Mill Road Project #2021-003

The City of Dahlonega is requesting sealed bids for ground preparation to accept 24-inch curb and gutter and 5-foot sidewalk on Wimpy Mill Road beginning at Golden Hills Apartment and tying into existing curb and gutter at Wimpy Mill Bridge as outlined in the contract and any special provisions contained in this document and project plans dated 1/11/2021, and revision dated 2/4/2021. 

A bid bond in the amount not less than 5% of the total bid amount is required for this project.

Bids will be received by the City of Dahlonega, Purchasing Department, 465 Riley Road, Dahlonega, Georgia 30533 until 2:00 PM local time on MONDAY APRIL 5, 2021.  Late bids will not be considered nor returned.  Bids will be formally accepted and acknowledged at the City Hall by staff personnel.

A MANDATORY Pre-Bid meeting will be held MONDAY MARCH 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM EST. The location of the meeting will be the City Hall Council Room located at 465 Riley Road, Dahlonega, Georgia.

Bids may not be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the time and date set for closing, except as allowed by O.C.G.A. §13-10-22.  The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to award a contract in the best interest of the City, and to waive any technicalities and informalities.

This project shall be constructed according to the 2013 Edition of the GDOT Standard Specifications and all applicable Supplemental Specs and Special Provisions that apply to this project.
