Dahlonega Gold Adventure All-Abilities Playground Open Now!

Nestled in Hancock Park, at the corner of Hawkins Street and North Meaders Street, sits the newest addition to the Dahlonega Square, “The Gold Adventure All-Access Playground”.

On June 1, 2019 The City of Dahlonega opened the playground to the public.

Climb on the one of a kind rock wall, swing to new heights on the Cloud 9 swings, and crawl your way through Charlotte’s Web. Children can ride on the backs of creatures native to Dahlonega such as a bear cub and leaping trout. The playground celebrates our natural history with a 6’ mine shaft climbing structure painted to resemble the rocks found in actual Dahlonega-area gold mines.  The soft Poured-in-Place rubber matting is colored to resemble a river flowing through a grassy area. The Dahlonega Gold Mine All-Abilities Playground also features three Freenote Outdoor Musical Instruments that are designed to enhance physical and mental development through the exploration of sound. These instruments, like the sculptures and swings in the Playground are accessible to children with physical and developmental handicaps.

The park is open each day from Sunrise to Sunset.
